Ever been declined? Standing there at the counter with your groceries…declined.
One day we all will stand before Jesus. The worst words ever spoken would be,
“I NEVER knew you.”
Awkward.
How do YOU get to know Jesus?
He said, I am the ONLY WAY to the Father.
If you’ve seen me, you’ve seen the Father. Also, he said, I and my Father are one.
OK. Let’s start here. Jesus=Father,
Father=the Son, Jesus
The Father took on flesh to save man from their sins. He came in the form of a baby in a manger. His biological mother was Mary, a virgin. The Holy Spirit overshadowed her and she conceived a baby in her womb.
Jesus died for our sins, not his. Crucified an unjust death, but fulfilled the law for sin. He did what the law required.
They buried him in a tomb, he descended to hell for three days and nights and rose the following day.
He showed himself in a glorified body for forty days to his disciples and many others. Then he ascended in the clouds and is seated at the right hand of the Father in heaven.
The right hand indicates righteousness. Jesus is righteous.
We all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
Being that the only way to the Father in heaven is through Jesus we must believe Jesus is who he is and what he did.
We are obeying if we believe in him. But, many believe he is who he said he is but keep ignoring him, living for themselves.
The demons believe he is who he is, but they are not going to be in heaven with the Father.
Turn to him. The Father above in heaven.
Jesus said to pray like this,
Mat 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Mat 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Mat 6:11 Give us this day our daily bread.
Mat 6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
Mat 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Now after praying like this, follow Jesus. He does everything righteously. Be like him.
